Long ago Africa was a thriving trade region and still is today. Before it became the continent it is right now it had to have a history. We learned about Africa's history through oral history - the accounts of past that people pass down by word of mouth. The First thing is the Bantu Migration. This is when the Bantu moved away from where they were first living. Historians have two theories of the way the migrated. One way was they started out on the West coast. Then moved East and South. The other theories is that they started out in central Africa and moved outwards.

Current Event:
Thousands of people marched through Mali's capital to protest the Western-led military intervention in Libya and show their support for Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi. The crowd marched to the French Embassy and then to the United States Embassy, yelling “Down with Sarkozy! Down with Obama!”
